I just wanted to let you know that my daughter has been getting great feedback for using punctuation and semi colons correctly so thank you very much. Your tutoring is obviously working wonders!

Jennie is great and highly recommended! She’s helped my daughter get up to speed with her maths and phonics and has built her confidence in reading and counting. She provides feedback after the class and is always available to discuss progress, the current curriculum or provide advice. My daughters feedback is that she’s very nice and funny :)

Jennie has been an excellent Tutor for my daughter Maya, aged 8. As a former teacher, I must confess I have dispatched of a couple of tutors already but I hope Jennie will be a feature in our family for years to come. Jennie works on Maths and English in a way which Maya feels is clear and easy to follow. Maya has also taken to Jennie on a personal level. She stretches Maya but uses positive reinforcement to great effect. I can highly recommend Jennie’s services.

About

Jennie Corrie

Private Tutor

I am a qualified teacher with several years’ experience working in Primary classrooms in both KS1 and KS2. I work hard to make sure that each child enjoys their learning as well as progresses in a way that is appropriate to their needs. I am a firm believer that each child learns in a different way and that is why I love to tutor on a 1:1 or small group basis; often an individual needs to sit down and explore a skill or concept from another angle, outside the classroom, in order to fully understand what they have learned.

When I’m not teaching or tutoring, I love being outside in the hills, or cooking and sewing clothes for both my children and myself. I especially love music and think it’s a great resource for learning new skills, so if there’s a song or ditty to help remember a piece of grammar or mathematical concept, then I’ll use it!
